Matt joins AC as a Research Analyst, supporting the Investment Team in the San Francisco office.
Prior to working for Agriculture Capital, Matt worked in environmental consulting in Oakland, CA, where he primarily supported geologists and engineers in brownfield remediation through drafting Environmental Site Assessments, including soil and water sampling, analysis and reporting.
During college, Matt interned at AKRF Inc. in White Plains, NY, where, among other projects, he evaluated site-suitability for the installation of solar arrays. He spent summers in Washington, DC, where he worked in environmental lobbying, researching and evaluated water rights regimes and environmental and scientific ethics, and at the Hubbard Brook Long-Term Ecological Research Forest in North Woodstock, NH, where he researched and analyzed changes in tree species distribution and health in the 6,000-acre forest.
Matt conducted undergraduate research under the supervision of Professor Timothy J. Fahey, completing a thesis on tree root growth and the changes in forest carbon dynamics in response to ice storms. He graduated from Cornell University with dual majors in Urban and Regional Studies, and in Environmental and Sustainability Sciences.
In his spare time, Matt enjoys exploring the outdoors, and frequenting bluegrass concerts around the Bay Area.
