Christian Choconta Bernal

Christian is a Capital Markets & Investor Relations Senior Associate for Agriculture Capital.

Christian has ample experience in investment banking and financial consulting. He has had the opportunity to work in sustainable finance projects, designing innovative financing mechanisms and generating business models that integrate sustainability with economic performance to attract impact investors.

Prior to joining Agriculture Capital, Christian was studying his MBA at Duke University. While in school, he focused on impact investing and the intersection of business and sustainability. He had the opportunity to work with impact investors and an investment banking boutique, where he participated in the financial structuring of a nature-based solution focused on carbon credits. Prior to his MBA, Christian worked for 4 years at Deloitte Colombia’s Corporate Finance division, focusing on M&A processes and capital raising. He participated in various mandates in different industries, such as: agribusiness, energy, and health, among others.

Christian has a B.Sc. in Economics from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia and an MBA from Duke University.
