Mark is the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Associate at Agriculture Capital. He supports both the operational and the financial teams within the company.
His responsibilities include measuring and reporting the operational performance of portfolio companies, standardizing reporting and, amongst other duties, is involved in the budget process.
Mark joined Agriculture Capital from D+H, a global FinTech solutions organization where, among his many duties as a Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A), he was responsible on designing, developing and maintaining a dynamic global cash management (treasury) system.
Mark was raised in Germany – with German as his first language, then moved to England where his education culminated in a Degree in Media Design. Prior to moving to Portland, Oregon in 2009, Mark worked for the Petrochemical industry out of Teesside, England, assisting in the new development of a Low-Density Polyethylene business, as SABIC built an LDPE plant on Teesside. He was directly involved in the creation of a European wide logistics network, as well as setting up raw material contracts with Exxon Mobile.
Mark and his wife live in Portland Oregon. In their spare time, they enjoy the art of apiculture, or urban city bee-keeping. In addition, they enjoy the great outdoors that the Pacific Northwest has on offer and, Mark takes full advantage of the excellent cycling culture Portland has and cycles everywhere.
