Amanda Steele is Chief Marketing Officer responsible for leading Agriculture Capital’s marketing and brand strategies.
Amanda is passionate about having a positive impact on our food system and growing access to healthy and sustainably-grown foods. She has over 25 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with a focus on building enterprise, customer and consumer value through authentic and transparent brands, delicious quality foods, and sustainable practices that resonate with consumer desires for health and wellness. She is excited about the opportunity to maximize the Agriculture Capital brand and crop portfolios in the context of this evolving retail and consumer landscape.
Most recently Amanda served on the Executive team as SVP Marketing for Numi Organic Tea, helping grow this family-owned, mission-driven company to a leadership position in premium tea. Previously, she was SVP Marketing for Annie’s Homegrown, leading innovation and consumer engagement as this much-loved natural and organic brand grew and expanded among mainstream consumers. As Marketing Director for Safeway, Amanda managed the turnaround of O Organics by developing a long-term growth strategy, including Health & Wellness brands across the Safeway private label portfolio of over a thousand skus in more than 35 categories in store. Earlier in her career, Amanda managed strategic businesses and innovation at Nestle, giving her insight into building brands and connecting with consumers at a global scale.
An active runner, yogi and block party host, Amanda loves to experiment with growing, cooking, preserving, and eating new foods with her family in the East Bay, CA.
Amanda has a BA in Geography from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management. Amanda is also an advisor to Astia, supporting women entrepreneurs.
